Assateague State Park to host public meeting on Offshore Wind – June 27th

There is tremendous wind energy potential located off the Atlantic coast and Maryland has been busy on many fronts preparing to capture the economic development benefits, as well as the clean renewable electricity, from this promising sector. At the same time, in order to expedite this initiative, the State of Maryland is conducting environmental surveys that will further our understanding of ocean habitats and communities and will provide information needed for future environmental reviews and decision-making.

Assateague State Park will be hosting an upcoming public meeting regarding Offshore Wind in Maryland.

When: June 27th at 7:00 pm

Where: Paul S. Sarbanes Coastal Ecology Lab. 11802 Marsh View Lane, Berlin, MD 21811
