Assateague Island National Seashore has a new full time resident.  The new foal is technically known for as N9BFQ-GL (we know, it takes a little bit of the romance out of it…) and was born early to mid-May.  The lucky mother is named Harmony and the sire was either N6BIMR or X16P (no common name).  The young equine is the only foal born on the island to date. He appears to be completely sorrel colored except for a white left hind hoof. Because his hoof is white, he may also have at least a partial white sock. However, because of his pale foal coat and sand on his lower legs, the experts on Assateague can’t tell at this point.  Regardless, we are excited to welcome this new addition to our Coastal Bays famly!
